The presenting companies are screened and selected by the Screening Committee, which is comprised of certain members of the Board of Directors and the Technical Board of Advisors. Any investment by a Member in a presenting company is made in that Member’s sole discretion on terms and conditions satisfactory to the Member and the presenting company. There is no requirement for a Member to make any investment, although BioAngels does reserve the right to not renew inactive Members.
BioAngels Dinner Events
BioAngels holds dinner meetings approximately quarterly each year, at which two or three companies make investment presentations. Also, at most dinners there will be a pre-presentation on topics relevant to the audience, for example, investing terms, patents, DNA, Distribution, and other topics.
BioAngels provides a forum for investors and early stage life science and medical device companies seeking funding. BioAngels is not a fund, nor does BioAngels represent investors or companies seeking financing. BioAngels does not receive a percentage of funds raised or any other sales or brokerage commission or any other fees or compensation. BioAngels is supported wholly by membership dues, dinner admittance fees, presenter fees and sponsorships. While the BioAngels Screening Committee attempts to select the best companies who have submitted applications to present at dinner meetings, BioAngels does not purport to conduct due diligence with respect to presenting companies. Accordingly, any information or representations made by any presenting companies must not be relied upon as having been reviewed for accuracy or authorized by BioAngels - BioAngels makes no representations or warranties with respect to any presenting company. Furthermore, BioAngels does not arrange or otherwise become involved in investments. Investments in presenting companies are at each member's sole discretion, and BioAngels is not responsible for any investment decision or results from any investments. Participation in BioAngels is open only to accredited investors capable of negotiating their own terms for high-risk investments. Investment opportunities are high risk, unregistered and highly illiquid. Investors must perform their own due diligence and seek their own legal and other professional counsel prior to making any investment decision.
